CEMETERY COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES – February 11, 2009

A Scheduled Meeting of the Cemetery Commission was held Wednesday, at 6:30 P.M., for the purpose of transacting any and all business.  Notice of this meeting was posted on February 4, 2009.

        Richard Rennard presided.

Present during the meeting were Chairman David Gonet, board members Elaine Milo, Phillip Burke and Joanne Mizioch, Director of Public Services Richard N. Rennard, Jr., and Cemetery Superintendant Ronald A. Malionek.  Ruth Kapnis was not present.

  • Explore cost of installation of a handicapped ramp at cemetery office for future meetings.
  • Richard Rennard to give Ron Malionek the name of a new company for pond and fountain maintenance.
  • Bates Elementary School walkway project – Ron Malionek will write up a list of stipulations regarding size, good taste, and that the project is not to interfere with timing of funerals and emergency use.
  • Commission requested the total salary of Greenlawn Cemetery employees.
  • The Commission would like to know the balance of funds in Perpetual Care, and the Meldon Fund.  A letter should be sent to the DPS requesting this information and the numbers should be submitted to the commission via email as soon as they are available.
  • Ruth Kapnis will be officially reappointed to the commission February 12, 2009.   
  • Please update Joanne Mizioch’s email address.
  • The next meeting of the Cemetery Commission will be scheduled as needed.
