  • Bike Circulation Master Plan –Fay Spofford & Thorndike has provided the Task Order and Scope of Work for the Master Plan update. MAPC and Mass-in-Motion have modified their scope of work for their portion of the plan. The City is working on allocating funding to the project so it can take place Summer 2015. The Planning Department has determined that they will submit a Community Preservation Act funding application for the full cost of the Master Plan Update.
  • Canal St. Path Update – Discuss the Canal St off-road path status and working with Salem Engineering Dept. to work on the Downtown/Riley Plaza Connection at the start/end of the path behind Domino’s Pizza
  • Highland Ave/Route 107 – MassDOT has asked for a member of the SBAC to serve on the Highland Ave/Route 107 traffic study. This working group will meet periodically to add input and feedback to a traffic study for the corridor that connects Downtown Salem to Lynn and down to Boston. They’re assessing all transportation considerations including walking and bicycling methods.
