PURSUANT TO THE OPEN MEETINGS ACT, notice is hereby given of the following meetings of the Salem City Council:
Notice is hereby given that the Salem City Council will meet at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2010 for the purpose of conducting a Workshop regarding the Fiscal Year Ending 2011 Annual Budget Ordinance.
Notice is hereby given that the Salem City Council will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2010, in the Council Chambers of Salem City Hall, 101 South Broadway, Salem, Illinois for a Public Hearing of the Proposed Fiscal Year Ending 2011 Annual Budget Ordinance and Ordinance Amending the Fiscal Year Ending 2010 Annual Budget. Copies of the proposed FYE-2011 Annual Budget for the City of Salem will be available for public inspection at the Salem City Hall and at Bryan Bennett Library on April 8, 2010.

FY10/11 BUDGET WORKSHOP
APRIL 12, 2010
The Salem City Council met on Monday, April 12, 2010 at the hour of 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Salem City Hall for the purpose of conducting a workshop to review and receive comments on the City of Salem Proposed Annual Budget for fiscal year 2010/2011. The Budget Workshop was called to order by Mayor Leonard E. Ferguson.

The Draft Copy of FY-10/11 Annual Budget for Fiscal Year May 1, 2010 to April 30, 2011 was prepared for Council review prior to the Workshop Meeting. Council was given an opportunity to review the proposed budget fund by fund and discuss any concerns.
Following a 20 minute break at 6:20 p.m. to 6:40 p.m., Council completed review of the proposed budget with the addition of one item – Fund 18-5101-622-08, $250,000 for water line replacement on West Main Street.
There being no further discussion at 7:45 p.m., the Budget Workshop was adjourned.
