Public Hearing– ZPT Energy application for Site Plan Review for a Ground Mounted Solar Facility at 309 East County Road

Norm Anderson read the legal ad. The land for the proposed Solar Project is owned by Monica and Chuck Gove. It should be noted there is an error on the assessor’s map made by the map company. The abutter’s list was double checked and verified with the assessor’s office to confirm that all proper abutter’s received notification.
The application was checked for completion. The installer / operator information was missing and will be required before the next meeting. Check number 2202 in the amount of $500 was accepted for this site plan review.
Ernie Mello, the applicant, presented the proposal. He is from Zero Point Development out of Worcester, MA. These projects should qualify under the Smart Program. The plans were reviewed. There are wetlands on the property. They have reached out to ConCom and there is a site walk scheduled for the upcoming weekend with ConCom. There is a public hearing with ConCom on August 7th. The land is 36.8 acres. There are a couple of structures on the property namely the home and detached garage of Monica and Charles Gove, the property owners. There is a 20 foot wide gravel driveway. It is a 1.5MW Array. There will be battery storage at this facility. There was general discussion about the project. The plans will be sent to Quinn Engineering for review.
Shawn made a motion to continue the hearing on August 14th at 7:15pm. Dick 2nd, all in favor. Recessed: 8:25pm
