RUTLAND BOARD OF HEALTH

Present:          Scott Gilroy, Chairman
                      Karin Prucnal, Vice-Chair  
 Lynn Miller, Administrative Assistant
                
Absent:  Elliott (Butch) Nadeau, Clerk                        
                 Richard Stevens, Health Agent


Opening of meeting by the Chair:  Scott Gilroy opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m.

The Board of Health will be referred to as the “Board”.

Review and Acceptance of Minutes:

Karin Prucnal motioned to accept the minutes of June 04, 2018.  Scott Gilroy seconded.  Vote was unanimous.  

Correspondence reviewed as received

Administrative:    

                    Mark Popham renewal – agreement for Professional Services
                    post closure landfill monitoring 2018-2019

Karin Prucnal motioned to approve the agreement for 2018/2019.  Scott Gilroy seconded.  Vote was unanimous. The Board signed the renewal agreement. One of the original agreements was sent to the Board of Selectmen’s office.  

Health Agent’s Report

                  
New Business:  

61 Pommogussett Rd. - Rich Stevens talked to Bruce LaBoffa, owner of 61 Pommogussett Rd.  Mr. LaBoffa should disclose that the septic system is at least 35 years old when selling the house so that the new owners are aware of the age of the system.  Title 5 inspection passed on October 2, 2017.

8 Victoria Ave – Tight Tank – Rich Stevens spoke to the Board about the proposed installation of a tight tank at 8 Victoria Ave. Tight tank has been installed since the meeting. The Board did not have any issues with the installation.

Flu Clinic – The Board discussed the upcoming flu clinic in November.  Posting about the flu clinic has been sent out to town buildings, schools, town website, etc.

Old Business:  

EDS training – The Board plans on meeting at Naquag Elementary School with the DPH to        
review procedures for EDS training.

Bills:  none

Next meeting is October 15, 2018 @ 5 p.m. @ Naquag Elementary School


Adjournment:  Karin Prucnal made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Scott Gilroy seconded.  Vote was unanimous. Meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
