Flu Clinic Allocation for 2015-2016 Season

The upcoming flu clinic season was discussed with Judie O’Donnell.  At this time the Board does not believe they will be able to have a flu clinic this year based on the lack of funds to conduct the flu clinic.  The DPH has instructed all towns that there will be a limited amount of state supplied vaccine to local Board of Health’s which will limit who the Board of Health and WMRC can vaccinate. Walgreen’s contacted the Board about possibly conducting a flu clinic for the Town.  The Board will follow up with them to get more information about what they have to offer.

 541 E. County Road

The Board discussed the status of 541 E. County Road.  Will Cassanelli spoke with the Board
regarding what he has done in regards to the situation. The Board requested that Randy keep the Board
posted on what is happening there.

   Feral Cats

The Board discussed the status of the feral cats at Cool Sandy Beach.  Per Leona Pease, all the cats have been spayed/neutered up to this point.  If any new cats do appear, there are no funds at this time to trap and release them.  The Board would have to discuss it at that time.

BOARD OF HEALTH MINUTES                         PAGE 2 OF 2                           September 14, 2015

Health Agent’s Report:

                6 Highland Park Road

Randy spoke to the Board about the complaint received regarding the above property.  A certified letter has been sent and receipt has been signed by the owner. The Board has not received any other response.  Randy has tried contacting the owner several times to investigate the situation.  Randy has also requested the Police Department conduct a well-being check.  A well-being check was done on Thursday, September 10, 2015. Dispatch said that no one was found on the property.  A copy of the letter is attached.  At this time, the Board is not aware that any person on the property does not have access to proper sewerage and water so no further action will be taken at this time.

Forest Hill Road – Town Sewerage hook up

Randy spoke to the Board about what is necessary on behalf of the Board if residents choose to tie in to the town sewer.  The owner would have to receive an Abandonment Permit from the Board and Randy would have to inspect that the system has been abandoned. After this is complete, then the owner/contractor can receive permission to tie into Town Sewer.

Scot Gilroy made a motion to approve the Septic Abandonment Inspectional Application and Fee of $110.00. Elliott Butch Nadeau seconded.  Vote was unanimous.
