Meeting Minutes – June 7, 2017
Present were: Chairman Paul Mattson, Jim Kelley, Addison Redfield and Brenda Savoie. Guest: Peter Craine
The meeting was called to order at 6:35 pm
Meeting Minutes
A motion to approve minutes of May 3, 2017 (Addison/Brenda) passed 3/0. Jim abstained.
Bills & Accounts
Paul presented an updated Treasurers Report. A total of $2,186.89 in expenses were paid since the last meeting.
A motion to accept the report of the Treasurer as presented (Addison/Brenda) passed 4/0.
Old Business
Jackets are in for Committee members.
Job Descriptions
Job descriptions for Production Assistant and Cameraman were reviewed. The Production Assistant position requires more knowledge and is a higher level position; therefore a salary of $15 per hour would make sense and the Cameraman would be entry level at $11 per hour.
A motion to approve the Production Assistant job description as presented (Addison/Brenda) passed 4/0.
After discussion on the Cameraman job description, the Committee agreed it would be best to have the Production Assistant as a higher level position and Cameraman at an entry level. Both will report to the Director. Paul will revise the draft job description.
Stipend for Intern
Jim suggested paying a stipend to camera operators and interns who not receiving college credits. It would help to improve the amount of coverage and expand the CAC programming in the future.
A motion to pay camera operators and interns $11 per hour with hourly tracking and approval required by the Director (Brenda/Addison) passed 4/0.
New Business
Letters Submitted for New Members
Paul reported there are two individuals interested in serving on the Committee. Peter Craine and Christian Santilo. Both are highly qualified.
A motion to recommend Peter Craine as a member of the Committee and Christian Santilo as an alternate member (Addison/Brenda) passed 4/0.
Paul will notify the Board of Selectmen.
Town Clerk Concerns with Live Town Meeting Broadcast
Paul mentioned that the Town Clerk had concerns over broadcasting Town Meeting live and that people would arrive late and may create delays. Addison said this is a common practice is many towns and is not an issue. The Committee agreed.
The next meeting will be held on August 2nd. The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm. All were in favor.
