6:30 PM in the Wood Studio

Present:        Paul Mattson, Addison Redfield & Brenda Savoie
Ray Becker & Kathy Clark were absent.

The meeting opened at 6:30 p.m.

Minutes

Minutes were not available; the Committee agreed to pass over until the next meeting.

Bills & Accounts

Treasurer’s report was not available; the Committee agreed to pass over until next meeting.

Old Business

Mic’s & Equipment Purchase

Paul reported that there was an error in the quote that was received from the Town of Clinton for microphones and pricing was listed for only one microphone, instead of four. The new total is $1,680, instead of the $870 that was signed off on at the January 15th meeting.

A motion to empower Paul to spend up to $1,680 to purchase the equipment as discussed (Addison/ Brenda) passed 3/0.

Paul will try to get a $50 price break.

Desk & Podium

Paul will check into having Bay Path build the desk. There was some discussion on using wood from the old oak tree in town, or other wood and material with historical significance.

Bill Jarvey was present to discuss specifics for building the desk. Bill said the basic shape will be an arc as pictured in the photos Addison presented. He is looking to incorporate historical value and asking around town for wood for the project. The Committee informed Bill that while they liked the idea of historical value, it is certainly not a requirement or part of the criteria for the project. Bill would like to have a flat center section and add the Rutland Town logo in that area. Addison asked how much wood is needed. Bill estimates 300 square feet of material to complete the job and said it will not cost more than $9,500 to complete. He will provide a written cost estimate.

Other

Addison will email Bill Senecal for an update on the sprinkler pipe.

Paul will contact Tom Cohen from Charter to let him know we are moving forward and will be in touch soon.

New Business

Addison and Paul attended a Library Trustee meeting and asked to have 4 additional feet of
space added to the studio floor plan on the west side. Addison pointed out that this will pose a problem with the space, if they do not agree to relinquish it.

Lapel Mic’s

When videographing certain programs, lapel mic’s will be used for clearer audio.

The next meeting will be held on March 26th.

The meeting adjourned at 7:53 p.m. All were in favor.

Respectfully submitted,
