Present: Peter J. Letsky, Chairman; Sheila H. Dibb, Vice-Chairman, Leroy C. Clark; Joseph R. Becker; Michael S. Pantos, Clerk.
Also present: Police Chief Haapakoski, Fire Chief Weber, Dispatch Director Kellaher; and Heather Lemieux & Kathy Inman from Barre.
A recent article in the local newspaper indicated that Barre town officials were very concerned with the quality of service and the way the Rutland Regional Dispatch Center was operating and agreed to meet to discuss their concerns. A letter (attached) from Heather Lemieux, Town Administrator in Barre, to the Rutland Board of Selectmen was read summarizing many of the concerns that Barre continues to have with the Regional Dispatch Center in Rutland.
After some discussion, the Rutland Board of Selectmen will attend the Barre Board of Selectmen’s meeting on February 24, 2014. The budget meeting to be held in Rutland that evening will be rescheduled.
