Board of Selectmen

6:30 pm

Present:  Leroy C. Clark, Chairman; Michael Pantos, Clerk; Sheila H. Dibb and Nancy M. Macaruso, Secretary.  Peter Letsky, Vice Chairman and Joseph R. Becker were absent.

Also present:  Members of the Fire Chief Search Committee.

Mr. Clark opened the meeting at 6:35 p.m.

Search Committee Chairman Ken Lowe informed the Board that they had three finalists chosen to be interviewed by the Selectmen and submitted the resumes to the Chairman.  The three finalists are:  Seth Knipe, Joe Moran and Bradley Weber.  Personal and professional references were done.  

After narrowing the field down to six semi-finalists, one withdrew. Out of the remaining five, the top three were chosen .  Mr. Pantos thanked the committee for their time and effort.

Mr. Pantos recommended waiting until August 20th when the full Board is present before scheduling interview dates for the three finalists.  Mr. Clark would like the board members to formulate their interview questions and submit them to the office to be compiled.

Ms. Dibb motion to sign an encumbrance for the Animal Control Officer (payable to Citgo in the amount of $217.57).  Mr. Pantos seconded.  Vote unanimous.

Ms. Dibb moved to sign an encumbrance for “Legal” for $1,203.25.  Mr. Pantos seconded.  Vote unanimous.

Ms. Dibb moved to sign an interdepartmental transfer for the Network in the amount of $738.37.  Mr. Pantos seconded.  Vote unanimous.

Ms. Dibb moved to adjourn.  Mr. Pantos seconded.  Vote unanimous.  Meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
