Board of Selectmen

Present: Sheila H. Dibb, Chairman, Joseph R. Becker, Vice-Chairman, Leroy C. Clark, Peter Letsky and Nancy M. Macaruso, secretary. Michael S. Pantos arrived at 6:15 pm.
Also present: DPW Superintendent Gary Kellaher and Wachusett Greenways (Rail Trail) representatives Colleen Abrams and Ken Strom.
Reorganization of the Selectboard: Chairman Dibb welcomed newly elected Peter Letsky to the Board. Mr. Clark nominated Mr. Becker as Chairman. Mr. Letsky seconded. Vote unanimous. Mr. Clark nominated Mr. Pantos as Vice-Chairman. Mr. Becker seconded. Vote unanimous. Ms. Dibb nominated Mr. Letsky as Clerk. Mr. Clark seconded. Vote unanimous.
Follow-up from letter sent to Wachusett Greenways asking for additional information. Ms. Abrams submitted paperwork to the Selectmen pertaining to the schedule for the construction as well as timeline dates. Work scheduled to begin approximately July 6 and ending on August 18. The tree hearing is scheduled for May 31, 2011. Some discussion on the bond and liability insurance, etc. Also discussed signage and detours with regard to emergency vehicles. The Fire Chief, Police Chief and Mr. Kellaher are satisfied with detours regarding emergency routes. Mr. Kellaher will also contact surrounding towns to inform of any road closings and dates, etc. Mr. Kellaher is concerned about not having the PE stamped plan for Mass DOT. Colleen Abrams signed the form agreeing to
pay total amount for signs $1234.00.
An executive session will be scheduled on the May 16th meeting for Reasons #8 and #3.
Some discussion on the numbers for the Special and Annual Town Meetings. Selectmen will meet at 4:30 pm prior to town meetings. A memo will be sent to department heads requesting their presence at the town meetings.
