Community Hall Annex
Present: Sheila H. Dibb, Chairman – Joseph R. Becker, Vice-Chairman – Leroy C. Clark and Michael S. Pantos, Clerk. Cherilyn A. Bulger was absent.
6:35 p.m. – Louis Cornacchioli came before the Board to be interviewed for the Wachusett Regional School District Committee seat being vacated by Michael Pantos. The Board reviewed his qualifications. Mr. Pantos advised Mr. Cornacchioli of the time commitment and asked about any conflict with the Mass. Teachers’ Association who employs Mr. Cornacchioli. Mr. Becker questioned him about the budget process.
Mrs. Dibb questioned him about the school committee’s responsibility in evaluating the Superintendent. Mr. Becker asked him about the conflict of interest to which he replied that he checked with his office and there is no conflict – Mass Teacher’s does represent the Wachusett teachers, but Lou is not the union representative for them. Mr. Cornacchioli stated that he has no “agenda” and just wants to serve as interim until the election.
New Business:
Mr. Becker informed the rest of the Board that the Police Chief Search Committee wanted to know how the Board felt about the candidate for police chief having outside employment.
Mr. Pantos moved to adjourn. Mr. Clark seconded. Vote unanimous.
Respectfully submitted,
Michael S. Pantos, Clerk
