Present: Joseph R. Becker - Chairman, Leroy C. Clark – Vice Chairman,
Sheila H. Dibb, Cherilyn A. Bulger – Clerk. Douglas C. Briggs was absent.
Discussion on interview questions for the DPW candidates. Samples of categories considered: disciplining employees, personnel issues, budget concerns, capital projects, relocating closer to Rutland, delegating responsibilities, familiarity with DCR, DEP and other state agencies, purchasing vs. renting equipment, separation of DPW & Water/Sewer, unions, etc.
The Board will hold interviews on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 6:15 and 7:45 for the two finalists. One hour each will be allotted.
Discussion pertaining to the Special Town Meeting articles/money.
There is a pending lawsuit against the town by CB Blair in relation to Maple Hill Estates.
Town Counsel is recommending the publishing of the sewer regulations in a local newspaper. Rough estimates on quotes: Landmark $1300 and the Telegram/Gazette $3300.
