Minutes of the Board of Assessors' Meeting held on July 7, 2015 in the Assessors' Office located in the Town
Hall.
Members Present: Arthur Lincoln (Chair), Joyce McGuinness (Member), Jeffrey Gibbs (Member), Diane
Peterson (Regional Assessor, RRG), and Justine Votruba (Assessors' Clerk, RRG)
Board Members Absent: None
Meeting brought to order at 8:30 a.m.
The following documents were signed:
• Meeting Minutes from June 2, 2015
• Motor Vehicle abatements for the month of June
• Bills Payable for June 2015
• Bills Payable July 2015
• Statutory Exemptions
• CAI Technologies FY16 Tax Map Maintenance
• Encumbrance sheet in order to get Property Record Cards online.
• Forest Management Plan (only Chair's signature required)
The discussions took place:
• BOA discussed parcel 35F-E-6 on Turkey Hill Pond. Spoke with Charles Williams of the Planning
Board and he stated that the Board would not approve a non-conforming lot with 300 feet of frontage.
• Mike Sullivan entered the meeting at 9:15 a.m. He asked if the BOA could provide a hypothetical tax
revenue number based on if the town allowed a 3 million dollar building to be built on 11 .5 acres of land
owned by the RDIC that would employee many people who would be working at computer terminals.
He stated it would be helpful for a potential TIFF agreement as well as good info for taxpayers. Diane
requested that Mr. Sullivan send her an email with his request and she would look into the numbers for
him. Mr. Sullivan left the meeting at 9: 17 a.m.
The next Board of Assessors Meeting is to be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. in the Assessors'
Office located in the Town Hall.
The Meeting was adjourned at 9:25 a.m
