Meeting was called to order around 7:00 pm
Members Present:
Jeff Stillings, for the Board of Selectmen
Ron Barron, for Central Mass Regional Planning Commission, Chair
Shawn Moore, for the Conservation Commission
Dick Williams, for the Planning Board
David George, Town Planner
- Average persons per household around 2.84 people
- Time to prepare for bylaw; drafts should be ready 3 weeks before the town meeting
- Discussion about Chapter 7, over 200 permits in past 24 months
- Discussion about banning pumping stations in the buildout analysis, perhaps something to take to town meeting; Ron Barron will look into whether the town can refuse to adopt new pumping stations
- A Growth Management Bylaw, could be via zoning or a general bylaw
- Ron Barron will seek comparable bylaws of communities who implemented a managed growth bylaw; Dave George will check planning systems for same
- The Steering Committee should meet twice a month to speed things up
- In 2020 we will need an increase from DCR on the amount of gallons per day the town uses for water
- CMRPC’s study did not reflect the 40,000 gallons per day of water/sewer reserved for the Rutland Heights Hospital property development
- The next meeting will be February 13, 2019 at 6:30
