Minutes
-Present: Peter Craine, Ronald Kent, Lynn Turcotte, Karen Greenwood, Norman Anderson, Anita Carlson, Lindsey Demers
Absent: Ronald Kent
-The meeting was called to order by Chairman Craine at 1:05 p.m.
-Norman made a motion to accept the minutes from the last meeting and Lynn seconded. Voted all in favor.
-Town Meetings (Chapter II, Article 1)
Added section 4-Rules of the meeting, then removed
-Continued with Select Board Powers (Chapter II, Article 2). Removed Powers
Added “Purpose”-this article contains the duties and responsibilities of the Select Board
Changed D to just 3 years
The details of the duties and responsibilities of the Town Administrator will be added at a later date.
-Under the jurisdiction of the Select Board is the Public Works and the Water and Sewer Commissioners.
-When changes are submitted to the Attorney General’s office they (AG) compare the submissions to what is on the Town’s website.
-At our next meeting we will discuss the By-law committee By-laws. Do we need a public hearing? Zoning By-laws do.
-Peter would like to meet with town counsel about making changes and should we have a separate budget to pay for the consults. Right now the monies come out of the general fund.
-Discussion began on the Finance Committee (Chapter III, Article 1)
Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Lynn and seconded by Norman. All approved and the meeting ended at 2:59 p.m.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Rutland Library.
