Open Space Committee meeting minutes August 18, 2015
Meeting began at 7:32 p.m.
Present: Kelton Burbank, Deb Cary, Karen Rossow
Excused: Rick Gardner, Kim Houde
Trail Around Princeton (TAP) update: Kelton and Tom Sullivan met with Dwayne Erickson and Denise Morrissey at DCR. The proposed route is Dickens Trail to Midstate to Administrarion Road across grassy, filled in road, down North, cross Balance Rock, down Midstate to Wachusett parking lot, up next to Magic Carpet, Dunbrow half way, then to Redemption Rock. We would just do it as a trial run. In winter it might make Bullock Lodge more accessible and used. We would help maintain the trails we’d use, be good stewards. Positive meeting. Dwayne took our map and will discuss it with other staff and get back to us.
Krashes property will go to DCR watershed protection.
Deb will take a look at Wachusett Meadow area under consideration when Rick Gardner can join her.
Nimrod will only permit what DCR watershed allows. What can we do on watershed? Check with Jonathan Yo.
Next meeting Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall annex small room.
