Open Space Committee minutes September 10, 2013

Present: Kelton Burbank, Jim Samdahl, Deb Cary, Phil Gryzb, Karen Rossow, Kim Houde

Meeting began at 7:40 p.m.
Bridge erosion controls: area looks good, trash has covertly been removed, for which we are very appreciative. No news otherwise regarding meeting with DCR at site to review progress. Signs still there. Beaver dam under construction. Would like to see the unattractive jersey barriers removed. A barrier to prevent vehicles from driving up to the bridge on the Old Colony Rd. side would be good but up to the town.
Open Space & Rec Plan Update: Marie Auger will be checking with Melissa Cryan from the state on which maps should be used of the abundance she has from CMRPC. Karen will keep checking on progress.
Smith Farm: Owners think it’s worth more than what it was appraised for. No other news on it. Trails:
Nannette from Parks & Rec interested in working with us on trails.
Minutes from August 13th approved unanimously 8:13 p.m.
