meeting minutes
February 19, 2013
Present: Jim Samdahl, Deb Cary, Doug Williams, Karen Rossow
Excused: Kelton Burbank, Phil Grzyb, Kim Houde
Meeting began at 8:00 pm
Recapped the public hearing held on OS&R Plan Update immediately before. The select board, Princeton Land Trust and Parks & Recreation department were all represented and gave very helpful feedback. Karen will update Plan and the 3 groups will send letters of support to John Lebeaux. Trails were discussed at length and we have ideas for using GPS for mapping out current and potential trails and holding a Trail Summit in the future.
Doug reported on his meeting with Con Com which had also just wrapped up. Con Com will be satisfied with our putting in large rocks, blackberry and willow immediately around the Mid-State Trail bridge. Doug will provide them a map of exactly where this will be done and arrange a volunteer work party in the spring. Con Com feels that the erosion issue is ours and the access issue is DCR’s. Deb will follow up with her original DCR contact to see if Doug should discuss this with Nancy McGrath.
Everyone agrees the OSC annual report for the town that Kelton wrote is excellent.
Meeting minutes from the January 8th meeting were approved.
