Minutes of the Princeton Historical Commission
June 16, 2011
Town Hall Annex, 7 PM
Attendees: Sheila Dubman, Joe Lee, Matt Lindberg and Alex Fiandaca. Also present were Teddy and Coco Lindberg.
Members approved the minutes from the last meeting, May 19th, 2011.
Wachusett Mountain
Sheila relayed information from Joyce that there has been no news on the Wachusett Mountain nomination.
Meetinghouse Cemetery Inmate Workshop
Sheila has sent a reminder to John Lebeaux regarding our request for inmate labor and is awaiting a response. Matt raised a question regarding liability which Ta Mara had questioned earlier. This was one of the initial questions Sheila posed to John and he assured Sheila that Ta Mara would not be liable for inmate injury.
Alex will touch base with Cemetery Commission Chair, Bill McNary, regarding the workshop and the proposed dates.
Everettville
Matt and Sheila have reviewed Anne Forbes’ contract for writing the nomination for Everettville. Sheila has begun compiling her research of Everettville for Anne’s use.
Sheila described, for the benefit of our guests, the role of the Historical Commission versus the Historical Society, as well as the National Register listing process and the existing National Register District throughout town.
