Meeting minutes for 4/10/18
7:00 pm at town hall annex

Karen opened the meeting at 7:05pm

The minutes of 4/3/18 were approved.

The FSC will write up a report of their activity to include in the annual town report; Larry will work on this with Karen.

We can put a 2-sided insert into the next senior newsletter. We will use Mary Jo’s page with the written text on the back.

The fire chief sent paperwork to the selectboard but it wasn’t quite what we need. Karen will prepare a draft and ask the chief to fill in the details.

Mary Jo handed out copies of the FAQ’s she is working on. We discussed the questions in each area; public safety, Bagg Hall, the annex. We will get a copy to JWA and ask for their input. We want to get this finished before our next meeting.

We talked about single page handouts which will primarily direct people to the facilities information on the town website. ( It was unclear what we will do with this )

Steve will print 4 small poster size color copies of Mary Jo’s front page.

Mary Jo will do the FSC presentation at town meeting and she briefly went through her talking points. The committee will work with her on the presentation at our next meeting.

The proposed expense for work on the annex will certainly be a question because the long term plan is to remove the building. The committee is open to alternatives which would provide for the needed meeting space and be more cost effective.

There was discussion with Nina about available funds in stabilization accounts and what could be used, for example, towards work on the annex.

There was general discussion about the use of Bagg Hall.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:56 pm.
