Meeting minutes for 11/7/17
7pm at town hall annex

Attending for the committee: Chris Conway, Karen Cruise, Larry Todd, Mary Jo Wojtusik

Absent: Steve Mirick

Attending for the town:  Edith Morgan, BOS and Judy Dino, advisory committee.
                                
Karen opened the meeting at 7pm

The minutes of the 10/31/17 meeting were approved.

Jones Whitsett (JW) asked about the historic preservation restriction on Bagg Hall and was looking for more information. They referenced a letter from Keith Chenot.

Karen sent copies of the JW questionnaires to the rest of the committee so we could all see the responses.

JW was reviewing the buildings today and will interview various town departments on 11/8 and 11/9.

There was a discussion of other town properties and the possible movement of functions between existing locations and the potential use of other town owned land. It might even be possible to consider a location not currently owned by the town if it made good sense in providing services to the community.

Karen handed around sheets with some financing projections based on different scenarios. There was limited discussion and the committee did not get into details. The committee was uncertain if the community would accept one large proposal for funding or perhaps look at smaller projects spread over time.

Larry mentioned the book “Nudge” which has some concepts which could be useful as we continue to communicate the process to the community.

Karen will post the Nov 14 meeting with Jones Whitsett on the town wide website and Next Door. The committee hopes to see some more people attend.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 pm.
