Meeting minutes for 8/15/17
7pm at town hall annex

Attending for the committee: Chris Conway, Karen Cruise, Steve Mirick, Larry Todd, Mary Jo Wojtusik

Also attending for the town:    Edith Morgan, board of selectmen
                                Nina Nazarian, town administrator

Karen opened the meeting at 7:00pm.

The minutes of the 8/8 meeting were approved. Mary Jo was elected as vice-chairman of the committee.

Karen said she spoke with Deb Anderson at the MA Attorney General’s office regarding our using subjective criteria to evaluate the consultants and was advised we do not need to justify our decisions. Personal notes are not part of the public record.

Mary Jo walked us through the revised matrix. It covers the evaluation points in the RFQ and references them by number. The committee will use this matrix for the 1st review of consultants.

Karen suggested we think about subjective criteria and bring ideas to the next meeting.

Nina said no questions have come to her in the past week from the Princeton community.

Could the committee communicate with the community using the town web site ? No decision was reached.

There was continued discussion of how to communicate with the community and solicit participation. Karen offered to write up something about the committee to be presented at the upcoming special town meeting. We should introduce the group, let people know our meeting schedule and tell them how they can provide input. Karen will check on this.

Most of the comments received to date concern the need for a community center.

There was a brief discussion of the evaluation process; to be continued.

Karen opened the meeting to questions from the public; there were no questions.

The meeting adjourned at 8:17pm
