The minutes of the August meeting were amended and then accepted as written. A copy will be sent to the Town Clerk’s office.
Louise reported there is over 9,000.00 in the account after expenses of more than $4,000.00.
The boiler has been cleaned and made ready for the heating season.
Gaile reported the prisoners will be here the last 3 days of the month. They are going to paint and clean windows as well as remove carpet on the landing. Terri suggested not removing the carpet and leaving just tile because it gets slippery when wet. Gaile said the tile will also be taken up so the wood flooring underneath can be refinished.
The Girl Scouts are going to meet at the Center twice a month on Tuesday from 6 - 8 pm.
Gaile reported the roof is leaking again. It leaks in the back of the building, into every studio in the back, the hall and Diane’s studio. Gaile has notified the town and the town insurer. The deductible is $1,000.00. It is a problem that needs to be fixed before more damage is done. She also reported the ceiling in the north hallway is peeling.
Most tenants are up to date with their rent but most of them need to update their insurance certificates. They are running out.
There was no oil delivery in the past month.
The COA is going to provide meals for the prisoners while they are here. Spaghetti and meatballs for one day with chili and beef stew as two other suggestions for other meals.
