| Princeton Cemetery Commission Meeting – Monday October 21, 2013 Town Hall Annex Minutes              November 15, 2013
Present: Lou Trostel, Lynne Grettum, Paul Constantino
The meeting was convened at 7:08 pm
Wreaths Across America Correction to last Month’s Minutes – “Race Across America” The program Mary Cringen described is correctly titled “Wreaths Across America” not “Race Across……..”
Superintendent Job Search One resume was received from an applicant, Fred Green, who inquired about how many hours a week are involved. We agreed to invite him to our next meeting and discuss how many hours he is interested in – perhaps taking the whole job or working with Bruce. Probably 20 to 30 hours/week are possible.
Lot Buy Back Program Not a lot of interest this year in the program. We did receive one inquiry from Maida Connor in Pennsylvania about a lot purchased in 1967.
Weekend/Holiday Burials Policy Lynne had prepared a spread sheet of the weekend/holiday burial policies and the charges made by a number of other towns. Only Sterling allows Sunday burials. Most of the other towns do not. Also, most do not allow burials on holidays. Perhaps we should add a written policy of “No burials on Sunday.”  We should discuss this with Bruce at our next meeting.
Improvement Projects Marking of lots with permanent markers – showed there are several more lots we can sell. It was suggested installing flag poles in North Cemetery and at Meetinghouse Cemetery as we have in several others. This should be reviewed with Bruce at our next meeting.
Finances Our budgets appear to be in good shape for this time in the year. Lot Account – Has a balance of $14500. The maintenance account has about $10600 Lot markers and the new gates at West Cemetery should come out of this account.
Meetinghouse Cemetery Stones We need to get an update on plans for disposition of the “loose” grave stones and fragments discovered in the restoration work.

Next regular monthly meeting of the Cemetery Commission will be Monday November 18.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 pm.
