Executive Session Minutes – SELECTBOARD
Executive Session 6:14 PM – In the open meeting, the board voted to go into Executive Session. Selectboard members present were Edith M. and Karen C. with T.A. Nina N.
Executive Session
Executive Session, in accordance with M.G.L. c. 30A, §21: Exemption Two – To conduct strategy sessions in preparation for negotiations with non-union personnel – Personnel Policy Employees
Nina explained that she recommended that the Selectboard move forward with the Classification & Compensation Plan as it is currently outlined, giving each person a step increase, unless they are at the highest step. There was discussion about tying increases to merit. Nina said that step increases are often different from merit increases. The group agreed that establishing a performance evaluation system was important for the future but given timing that FY’20 should move forward with the established Plan. The group also agreed that they would discuss further when there is a full board.
6:27 PM Selectmen closed the executive session with Edith making a motion to adjourn, Karen seconded and in roll call vote they returned to open session with Edith and Karen each saying “aye.”
