Executive Session Minutes - Selectboard
Executive Session 10:25 am – In the open meeting, the board voted to go into Executive Session. Selectboard members present were Chair Richard Bisk, Karen Cruise and Edith Morgan. Other people present were Nina Nazarian and Matthew Moncreaff.
Executive Session, in accordance with M.G.L. c. 30A, section 21: Exemption Two – to conduct strategy sessions in preparation for contract negotiations with non-union personnel, Interim Town Administrator.
Interim Town Administrator –
The Selectboard discussed HR Counsel’s concerns with Richard White’s proposed independent contractor contract and decided to offer him the standard MMMA contract. Karen will follow up with Rick (Richard) to verify that he will be willing to work as an employee instead of as an independent contractor. Nina will provide Karen with a copy of the standard MMMA contract. Based on that contract and the one used with our previous interim TA, Karen will develop a contract to use with Rick White.
10:45 am – Selectmen closed the executive session with Edith making a motion to adjourn, Karen seconded and in roll call they voted to adjourn with Richard, Karen and Edith each saying “aye.”
