Tom Sullivan presented page 1 of 3 of a Plan of Land in Princeton, MA prepared for Massachusetts Audubon Society, Inc. dated April 25, 2016. It presented the surveyed land of the Fieldstone Farm and specifically highlighted in red 10 acres in Parcel D proposed by the working group. Tom explained that the access width is 50 feet wide, with 225 feet of frontage and that the MassAudubon Society and Princeton Land Trust have reduced the purchase price to $100,000. Tom described wetlands areas flagged near Parcel D and Parcel C.
Edie asked Stan’s opinion. Stan said that we need a future location, it’s a good amount of land, and it’s a good price. Edie asked if there was land in the back by the DCR that folks could use a trail. Tom explained that to the south would be town owned land, west partially farm land and town conversation land, the fields to the north, on the east two private homes who share a common driveway. Stan asked if any developers were interested in Parcel C.
Tom explained that the group received about $100k in donations since the last time we met. The working group mentioned that they would like to close this additional piece of land in timely fashion. Working group would like that this is closed out in July, but it does want to try to get this done ASAP with the title examination, soil testing, etc. such that the Town is satisfied.
Stan made the motion and Edie seconded, to accept the proposed offer of a 50 foot wide access roadway, with 225 feet of frontage, for approximately 10 acres of the so called proposed Parcel D, for a purchase price of $100,000.
