BOARD OF SELECTMEN   --  May 20, 2013
Open Meeting 6:00 PM  
The meeting was called to order in the Town Hall Annex.  Present were Chairman Stan Moss, Edith Morgan, Neil Sulmasy and Town Administrator John Lebeaux.  
        
Warrants and Minutes
Board reviewed and signed FY13 Vendor and Payroll Warrant # 23
Board reviewed and voted to approve meeting minutes of May 6, 2013; all in favor.

Scheduled Meetings/Appointments
6:10 PM - Holly Palmgren came in w/Brownie Troop request to use town common on June 1 for community project. A dozen girls in troop are collecting supplies for animal shelters, using collection bins and signs at several different public areas on days preceding June 1 when they will be gathered on the common to collect donations.
        The board voted all in favor to allow Brownies use of town common for their collection of animal shelter supplies on June 1, preferably from 9 a.m. to noon.

6:15 PM - Dieter Drake from Anthem Sports, producing the Longsjo Classic Bicycle Race in July, came in to request to use public ways and town common on Saturday, June 29, for the Gran Fondo 26-mile loop tour through Princeton, Hubbardston and Westminster. The race involves 1 – 4 loops in waves starting at the Holiday Inn in Fitchburg with the finish and awards at Princeton Town Common.  Mr. Drake assured selectmen that his group would sweep the course of signage and trash before the end of that Sunday.
        The selectmen voted all in favor to approve the request for using town roads during the race weekend and the common on June 29, subject to approval from Fire Dept. andPolice Dept.

New Business
6:25 PM - BOS voted all in favor to complete signatures and signed cemetery deed for two lots purchased by Stolberg family at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Selectmen voted all in favor to authorize Town Administrator to negotiate and sign contract for high speed internet system network design.
Selectmen voted all in favor to approve request from John Grenier for use of town roads on Saturday, May 25, for Wachusett Mountain Road Race, sponsored by Central Mass Striders (CMS). The runners start at 9:30 a.m. at Bolton Road corner and run up Mountain Road to DCR Visitor Center then up park roads to summit and back down to ski lodge for finish. The vote was conditioned on approval from police andfire departments.
