Minutes of Meeting
April 24, 2012

CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Old School House.  The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

Recognition of Visitors (A list of visitors who attended the meeting are attached to these minutes.)  No visitors were present and no one spoke about items not on the agenda.

BUSINESS
Signing of RSU 16 Budget Referendum Vote Warrant
Selectman Moreau made a motion to sign the RSU 16 warrant; Selectman Robinson seconded the motion, which was approved by a vote of 5-0.

EXECUTIVE SESSION
Selectman Robinson made a motion to go into executive session pursuant to Title 1 MRSA Chapter 13 Public Records and Proceedings, § 405 Executive Sessions, § 6 (C) to discuss the consideration of property use or acquisition with the Budget Committee and Town Manager at 7:03 p.m.

The board returned to open session at 7:46 p.m.

Any Other Business
Selectman Moreau made a motion to authorize the town manager to: (1) ask realtor, George Greenwood, to act as the Town’s representative and meet with the owner of the property located between the Town Hall and Library, evaluate the property, obtain background information about the property, formulate an estimate of the property’s value, and report all the above to the Board of Selectmen and Budget Committee; (2) ask assessors’ agent, John O’Donnell, to re-evaluate the property and determine an adjusted real property valuation which considers today’s real estate market; and (3) contact the owner of the property to introduce George Greenwood as the Town’s representative in this real estate transaction.  The motion was seconded by Selectman Robinson, and carried 5-0.  

Adjourn - Selectman Moreau made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:48 p.m.  Selectmen Robinson seconded the motion, which passed 5-0.
