CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Lionel C. Ferland, Jr. called the meeting to order at 7:00PM with Selectmen Wendy Sanborn, Erland Torrey and Joseph Cimino present. Selectman Knowles was absent with notification. The Town Manager and Recording Secretary were also present.
Mandatory Recycling Public Hearing
Selectman Cimino moved to open the Mandatory Recycling public hearing. Selectman Sanborn seconded the motion. Discussion: None.
Vote: 4-yes 0-no
Points of discussion:
· Cardboard should be recycled separately
· Look into the value of accepting rimmed tires
· Grace period to allow residents to get familiar with new system
· Glass needs to be added to the list of recyclables
· Fee for misuse?
· Loose trash accepted
· Educate the public on recycling to include HHW and make the policy clear
· Employees will need support from Selectmen and Management
· Provide a recycling area for large reusable items
· Review the language on the disposal of commercial forest products to allow small deposits
· Create an incentive to get residents to recycle
· Include a pay per bag as an additional alternative

Development Fees Public Hearing
Selectman Cimino moved to open the Development Fees public hearing. Selectman Sanborn seconded the motion. Discussion: None.
Vote: 4-yes 0-no
Points of discussion:
· Shoreland Timber Harvesting fee was removed in December 2006 by the Board of Selectmen
· The suggested fees are not for the purpose of hiring a part time CEO
· Possible conflict between proposed fees and proposed changes in the CLUC ordinance
· Review road entrance fees
· Reduce department spending first
· Provide analysis of current operational costs
