Donald Bracken, of Bracken Engineering, Inc. Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, represented the petitioner who is seeking a Special Permit to enlarge a non-conforming structure, and a Special Permit to waive the side setback requirements in order to construct a 4.5’ x 13’ stoop and a 17’ x 20’ one-story addition.
There was no public comment. Mr. Conner acknowledged a letter from Michael A. Gallerani, an abutter, in support of the proposed project.

Mr. Keohan motioned to approve Case #3649 with one condition. Mr. Simpson seconded. Granted unanimously (5-0).

Donald Bracken, of Bracken ngineering, Inc. Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts represented the petitioners who are seeking a Special Permit to enlarge a non-conforming structure and a Special Permit to waive the side setback requirements in order to replace an existing deck with a larger 12’ x 33’ deck and to remove portions of the dwelling and construct a 290 square foot addition and 64 square foot porch.
There was no public comment in favor. Mrs. Tarantino passed in a letter from an immediate abutter, Joan M. Knox in favor of the proposed petition.
Public comment in opposition: Rick Greenwood represented his parents, direct abutters to this property, and spoke against the project. He passed out a cover letter and site photographs stating that the proposed addition would be too close to his hedges.

Mr. Main motioned to grant Case No. 3650 with one condition. Mr. Peck seconded. Granted unanimously (5-0).

“Continued” Public Hearing - Case # 3638

Attorney Edward T. Angley, of Plymouth, Massachusetts represented the petitioners who are seeking a Special Permit to exceed the 60 foot front setback requirement, a Special Permit subject to Environmental Design Conditions for more than 6,000 square foot floor area, and a Special Permit to waive the off street parking requirements. Attorney Angley passed out a brief, which he then read to the Board. Attorney Angley introduced Mark Flaherty of Flaherty and Stefani Engineering who described proposed improvements which would be made regarding parking, drainage, and other issues pertaining to the proposed project. Other representatives present were Bill Fornaciari who described the architecture, Ron Muller, discussing traffic issues, and Jon Henson, describing the landscaping of this proposed project.
Board members voiced their concerns regarding the lateness of the applicant’s site plans and other pertinent information, which the Board has not had time to review for this hearing.
Public comment in favor: John Girard of 5 Janet Street and Glenn R. Justice, 3 Florence Street.
Public Comment in opposition: None
Attorney Angley suggested continuing the public hearing. Mr. Conner, the Chairman announced that the hearing would remain open along with the public comment section pertaining to this petition.
Mr. Peck motioned to continue Case #3638 to January 18, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in order to give the Town Engineer time to respond to the revised site plans dated November 8, 2011 and for the petitioner to return with full size site plans. Mr. Keohan seconded. Approved unanimously
