Zoning Board of Appeals Minutes October 1, 2008
MEMBERS PRESENT:  Peter Conner, A. Wendy Longo, William Keohan, David Peck,  
Michael Main, Marc Betti, and Edward Conroy.

Mr. Conner called the meeting to order and explained procedures for the evening.

CASE NO. 3501 – BETTY and ROY HAMLIN – COURT STREET

Sitting: Peter Conner, Michael Main, David Peck, A. Wendy Longo, and William Keohan.

Mr. Peck read the legal advertisement into the record.

William Snow, P.E., representing the petitioner, said that the site consists of 20,000-sq. ft. of land.  The petitioner is proposing to construct two duplexes and one single family dwelling.  The previous petition included a commercial building which has been eliminated from this proposal.  The driveway is 18’ in width.  Landscaping has been enhanced.  The site is uphill.  The buildings will be fully sprinkled with wet-systems.  There is 8’ between buildings. No decks on the dwellings.

CASE NO. 3499 – ROBERT and KATHRYN McMAKIN – COCHITUATE ROAD

Sitting: Peter Conner, A. Wendy Longo, David Peck, William Keohan, and Michael Main.

Mr. Peck read the legal advertisement into the record.

Mark Flaherty, P. E., representing the petitioner, said that the petition was before the Board earlier this year and that the petition was back before the Board with a few corrections.  The dwelling will be a 31’ x 36’, three-story single family with a one car garage under.

Public comment offered in favor.

Mr. Main made a motion to approve Case No. 3501 with conditions.

Mr. Peck seconded.

CASE NO. 3499 – ROBERT and KATHRYN McMAKIN – COCHITUATE ROAD

Mr. Main made a motion to approve Case No. 3499.

Mrs. Longo seconded.

Unanimously approved.
