Zoning Board of Appeals Minutes May 7, 2008
MEMBERS PRESENT:  Peter Conner, David Peck, William Keohan, Marc Betti, and William Sims.

MEMBERS ABSENT:  Wendy Longo and Michael Main.

Mr. Conner called the meeting to order and explained the procedures for the evening.   

CASE NO. 3488 – ANTHONY CALIRI – TAYLOR AVENUE

Sitting: Peter Conner, David Peck, William Sims, William Keohan, and Marc Betti.
Mr. Peck read the legal advertisement into the record.

Mr. Conner acknowledged that 10 letters in support of the project were received in the Zoning Board of Appeals office today.

Mr. Flaherty, Flaherty & Stefani, representing the petitioner said the petitioner said the cottage was constructed in 1930.  The petitioner would like to demolish the existing dwelling and add a second story.  The dwelling is in decrepit condition. The house will be placed on wooden or concrete piles to meet FEMA regulations and the septic system will be placed under the structure. The site is serviced by Town water.

No public comment was offered.

Hearing closed.

Mr. Sims made a motion to enter into Executive Session to discuss ongoing litigation.

Mr. Peck seconded.

Mr. Conner called for a Roll Call vote:
Mr. Sims – yes
Mr. Peck – yes
Mr. Keohan – yes
Mr. Betti – yes
Mr. Conner – yes

Mr. Conner said that the Board would return to open session immediately following the Executive Session.

CASE NO. 3439R – SECURED REALTY INC. – STATE ROAD

Sitting: Peter Conner, William Sims, William Keohan, David Peck, and Marc Betti.

Attorney Angley, representing the petitioner, requested to continue the hearing to the next available meeting.

Mr. Sims made a motion to continue to June 18, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Peck seconded.

Unanimously continued.
  
VOTE:

CASE NO. 3488 – ANTHONY CALIRI – TAYLOR AVENUE

Mr. Peck made a motion to deny Case No. 3488 without prejudice.

Mr. Sims seconded.

Unanimously denied without prejudice.

No further business came before the Board.
