Mr. Conner called the meeting to order and explained procedures for the evening.
CASE NO. 3435– JEFFREY S. WALLACE and ELIZABETH HOWE WALLACE – WEST LONG POND ROAD

Attorney Abbott, representing the petitioner, said the petitioner would like to add an addition to a second dwelling on the property. The land consists of 1.7 acres. The second residence was constructed in 1940. The land slopes from the roadway to the waters edge.
Mr. Flaherty, Flaherty & Stefani, said that there is a 50’ drop from the roadway to the eaters edge. New septic tanks installed with a pump chamber. The “red cottage” needs an ejector pump which needs to be contained in a heated space which made the addition necessary. New windows and siding will be used. No trees removed.
Mr. Wallace said that the foot print will not change.
Attorney Abbott said the petitioner went to the Six Ponds Association and told them of his plans. The Six Ponds Association is a group of residents who own property on the ponds.

CASE NO. 3436 – HOMES FOR OUR TROOPS – off VALLEY ROAD ( GLEN ROAD)

Mr. Bracken, Bracken Engineering, said that Valley Road runs parallel to Herring Pond.
Ten lots have been combined into one single lot. There is 30’ of frontage on Valley Road and 100’ of frontage on Glen Road. The driveway will be 10’ wide and paved. Drainage will be contained within the pavement via catch basins.
Kirt Rebello, Director of Projects and Veteran’s Affairs, Homes for our Troops, said the home will be constructed for a local veteran who lost both legs in a roadside bombing. The dwelling will be an 1800-sq. ft. single family home. The veteran can not sell the house for five years.

Ms. Shaheen, property owner, said that there are actually two lots involved and the homes are going to be cape style. The house will be moved back 5’ from the location of the original dwelling.
Attorney Betters said that the petitioner’s could build one single-family two-story home up to 35’ in height.
