Zoning Board of Appeals Minutes January 17, 2007
MEMBERS PRESENT: Peter Conner, A. Wendy Longo, William Keohan, Michael Main, David Peck, and Marc Betti.  

MEMBER ABSENT: Robert Richard

Mr. Conner called the meeting to order and explained the procedures for the evening.

CASE NO. 3396 – DANIEL GALVIN – SNOWBERRY LANE

Sitting: Peter Conner, Wendy Longo, William Keohan, David Peck, and Marc Betti.

David Peck read the legal advertisement into the record.

Mr. Galvin said that he would like to demolish the two cottages and construct one single family dwelling.   Snowberry Lane was previously known as Emerson Road.  It is a gravel road.

No public comment was offered.

Hearing closed.
VOTE:

Mrs. Longo made a motion to grant Case No. 3396.

Mr. Peck seconded.

Unanimously granted.

CASE NO. 3397 – SOVRAN ACQUISITION LIMITED PARTNERSHIP – HOLMAN ROAD

Sitting: Peter Conner, Wendy Longo, William Keohan, David Peck, and Michael Main.

David Peck read the legal advertisement into the record.

Attorney Angley, representing the petitioner referred to a written presentation on file in the ZBA office.

Mr. Chapman, BSC Group, reviewed the site.  The petitioner is proposing to add a two story storage building.  The manager lives on site.  The site is 30’ lower than the Home Depot.  The existing utilities will be extended.  The electric, water and gas will be connected in the cul de sac.  A hydrant will be added at the request of the Fire Department.  The existing stone wall will change direction.

Attorney Angley said that the building will be fully sprinkled.


Mr. Pasternek said that the storage units will have heat, air conditioning and climate control.

Mr. Peck asked the petitioner if the pad was for a dumpster.

Mr. Delfino, contractor for the storage facility, said that the pad was for the HVAC system.

Attorney Angley returned to his written presentation.

No public comment was offered in favor or opposition.

Mr. Main made a motion to approve Case No. 3397.

Mrs. Longo seconded.

Unanimously granted.

A long discussion ensued between the Board members regarding policies and procedures.

No further business came before the Board.
