Workshop Minutes
November 19, 2009
1. CALL TO ORDER: The workshop was called to order at 7:00 PM.
2. ATTENDANCE: Road Study Review Committee (RSRC) members present were Chair – Quentin Henderson, Vice Chair David Hyer, Dan Peaco, Lenny Adler, Sandy Ouellette & Frank Blauvelt. (Absent - Mike Quinn)
3. QUORUM: Board had a quorum.
4. SECRETARY’S REPORT:
A. Workshop Minutes from October 15, 2009. *Motion to accept minutes. DP/LA –Unanimous.
5. DISCUSSION & COMMENTS FROM PUBLIC:
A. None.
6. DISCUSSION & COMMENTS FROM COMMITTEE:
A. LA – Researched the cost of plow trucks (4) estimates submitted. Both trucks that are being used now are 30 years old. Looking at about $40,000.00. All prices include outfitted trucks. Town would generally keep vehicles for about 15 – 20 years. Not very likely to find a 3 – 5 year old vehicle. They are just not available. Pick something up for $25,000 and have it equipped for $25,000. Totaling $50,000.00. LA will ask Richard which he prefers, tandum or a single axle?
B. DP – Researched the cost of buildings. 50 x 60 dimension w/ 16’ x 16‘ doors, 20 ‘eaves and a 4/12 pitch. Snow loads have been computed in, and both estimates are basically the same. The basic structure itself w/ the two bay doors and regular sized doors. (50 x 65), $49,600.00 (50 x 60) $36,900.00 Structure delivered to the site. Building structure estimates $37,000 – $50,000. This does not include cement, ground work , plumbing or electrical. However it does include being insulated. Approximately (5) working days to put building up. Dan will research the cost of having it put up by the supplier. Dan: Will check w/ Morton’s. He will look into the turn key w/ the bathrooms and office added. Concrete work will be subcontracted out. Fire Marshall will be contacted. Knee
wall will be needed, no frost walls. By the time all is added we’re looking at about $100,000.00.

A. Abandonment of Roads issue
B. Documenting expenses: see how other towns do it, job description, for each road.
