Meeting Minutes
November 8, 2012
1.CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 7:15 PM. Present were Joe Zilinsky - Chair, Stan Brett - Vice Chair, Len Adler, Nancy Lundquist, and Diana Olsen. Tanya Taft was absent.
2. SECRETARY’S REPORT:
Minutes for October 11, 2012 were approved with corrections.
3. OLD BUSINESS
Members reviewed and discussed a draft parking ordinance compiled from two model ordinances that originated from MMA and were made available to the committee by Select Board Chair Hal Ferguson. The group unanimously approved an edited version of the draft. Acceptance of the revised draft was moved by Adler and seconded by Brett. The vote was 5 to accept; none in opposition.
The Committee’s draft will be forwarded to the Select Board with our recommendation to implement the ordinance.
4. NEW BUSINESS:
We were informed that the Select Board has a model ordinance concerning Freedom of Information Access. The model ordinance has been implemented by the Town of Readfield. We will obtain a copy of the Readfield document and circulate it among the members so that we can discuss it at our next regularly scheduled meeting on Dec 13, 2012.
5. ADJOURNMENT:
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM.
