Special Meeting Minutes
March 14, 2011
1. CALL TO ORDER: The regular meeting was called to order at 1:00 PM. Hal Ferguson, Chairman, Rick Micklon & Lenny Adler present.
Attendance: Maine Municipal Attorney, Maine Municipal Insurance Representative, Marianne Morin, Sharon Mathews, and Sandra Ouellette.
2. FLAG SALUTE
*Audience and Board members saluted the flag.
3. *Motion by Hal 2nd by Lenny, ALL voted to move into executive session pursuant to Title 1 M.R.S.A. section 405 (6) (H) to consult with the Town Attorney concerning pending litigation.
4. *Motion by Lenny, 2nd by Hal, ALL voted to close executive session at 2:50pm.
5. *MOTION by Lenny to settle case with Chases for payment of all taxes, lien costs and interest owed from 2007 through 2011 taxes; on the condition that all litigation is dropped against the Town of Otisfield and all employees. A quit claim deed will be given to Laine Chase &-Angela Chase Randall upon receipt of a cashier's check in the amount of $16,766.29, (3/14/11) 2nd by Hal, Unanimous.
6. ADJOURNMENT:
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:30 PM. LA/HF – Unanimous.
