Board of Selectmen Special Meeting Minutes
March 25, 2010
- CALL TO ORDER: The special meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.
Hal Ferguson, Chairman; Rick Micklon, Lenny Adler and Richard Bean Sr. were present.
2. SALUTE TO THE FLAG: Audience and Board members saluted the flag.
3. EXECUTIVE SESSION MOTION:
Motion by HF 2nd LA, ALL, voted to move into executive session pursuant to Title 30A section 2702 subsection(1) (A) and 1 M.R.S.A. § section 405 (6)(A) to discuss Personnel Matters, where it could reasonably be expected that a persons right of privacy could be violated. The Board began conducting 5 interviews on the applicants that were scheduled every half hour from 7pm -9pm. Motion to close executive session at 9:08pm by RM/LA ALL in favor.
4. DISCUSSION
The following factors were discussed on each individual:
a. Qualifications
b. Response time/residency
c. Driving records
d. Applicant interview questions & answers
e. Pay Scales: existing to new.
5. MOTION
On a motion by Lenny Adler, 2nd by Rick Micklon, All voted in favor to hire Bob Harris for the new road/highway dept position at $12/hr with a performance review in 90 days.
6. ADJOURNMENT With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9.25 PM. RM/LA – Unanimous
