MINUTES OF SELECTMEN’S MEETING
SEPTEMBER 26, 2007
1. The meeting was called to order by Mark at 7:00pm. Tom and Hal were present.
2. On a motion by Hal, 2nd by Mark, ALL voted to accept the minutes from Sept. 5th meeting as read. On a motion by Mark, 2nd by Hal, All voted to accept Assessors minutes from the meeting on Sept 11th.
3. On a motion by Tom, 2nd by Hal ALL voted to sign Warrant #5 to pay the towns bills.
4. CEO reported that he found a violation of vegetation cut off on property off the Ohiuvo Camp Road. They immediately came into the office and have a replanting plan from and arborists that will be appropriate for the area. Rich will compose a consent agreement with several conditions to be met, including a payment in full for $500 fine. The board will use this money for expenses the Conservation Committee's incurs for educating the residents i.e.; a newsletter etc. Motion by Mark, 2nd by Tom, ALL voted to set fine of $500.00 and what it will be used for.
CEO will be checking a faulty septic system at 67 Great Oaks Lane that was reported to him. He hopes to get this resolved ASAP.
5. Mike Hooker and Tom discussed the locking system for the fire stations. He will have pads put at the three stations that do not need electricity, if no power. Also the chief's office at Spurrs Corner will have a pad with punch code. They will also have a new sensor light put up above the door at Spurrs Corner. After pads are installed the outside buttons for the overhead doors will be disconnected.
6. Hal reported that 3 bid packages were sent out to contractors for Parkway Project. The board requested that P & K be included.
7. The board approved the letter to Heniger Park tenants, stating if anyone asks questions that they be sent this letter as and explanation. Asking that no one get involved in trying to know what will happen in the future. Send the first copy to Mr. McCarthy.
8. On a motion by Hal, 2nd by Mark ALL voted to grant the 4th and final extension and assignment for Heniger Park lot 11B for Irene Moody and Maighan Moody.
9. The board accepted the new value for the Town office issued by MMA insurance this additional value will cost $80.00 for the year.
10. Tax Collector reported that 92- 30 day notices were mailed for a total due of $83,716. Initially 293 reminder notices were mailed out for late 2007 taxes.
11. Junkyard license renewal public hearing is set for Oct. 10th. Licenses up for renewal are for L.J. Adler, R. Bean Sr., and Peter Arntsen.
12. Motion to adjourn by Tom, 2nd by Mark, ALL at 9:45pm.
