MINUTES OF SELECTMEN’S MEETING
APRIL 18, 2007
1. The meeting was called to order by Mark at 7:00pm. Tom and Hal were present.
2. On a motion by Tom, 2nd by Mark, voted to accept the minutes from April 4th meeting as read.
3. On a motion by Tom, 2nd by Hal, ALL voted to sign Warrant #19 to pay the towns bills.
4. Rick Micklon told the board that the planning board feels that if there is a need for a clarification on any thing dealing with shoreland zoning, the planning board should be the first resource to be directed to. If need be the planning board would then request the Ordinance committee to research the topic for them. This would eliminate the duplication of research, since the planning board oversees shoreland zoning ordinance and have the most knowledge of the subject.
5. The board signed the completed Consent agreement that Mr. Grasso submitted along with the $2500 fine. This will be sent to the registry of deeds to be recorded.
6. The Board opened 26 bids on the tax acquired property at 1008 State Route 121. The bids ranged from lowest at $3500 to the highest at $26,209.53. They will review and contact the highest bidder to see if they are interested after the conditions of the sale are read to them. If accepted the board will award at the next meeting, or move to the next bidder.
7. At 7:30pm Mark made the motion to move into executive session pursuant to 1M.S.R.A. section 405(6)(F) for consultation with legal council regarding issues coming before the board, 2nd by Tom ALL. At 9:06 pm, Mark made the motion to close the executive session, 2nd by Hal, ALL.
8. The board set down conditions for the sale of the tax acquired property if the bidder agrees to these conditions they will award them the bid and a quit claim deed will be issued. Motion by Mark, 2nd by Hal, All agreed to conditions. (copy on file)
9. Motion to adjourn by Mark, 2nd by Tom, ALL at 10pm.
