Work Meeting, Tuesday, June 08, 2010

Certificates of Compliance
Richard and Gretchen Kimoski (2007) 64 Gibson Road Request for a COC to demolish the existing house and build a new one. The house is built as shown on the Order. They have followed the mitigation planting plan by maintaining the 50’ buffer as a field and mowing once a year in the winter. They have planted a new young oak as requested. The area they have been managing for invasive species has large mulched areas between the plants. There are also other large mulched areas with no plants on the property.
Judith requested a letter be sent along with the COC that the mulched areas should be planted.
MOTION: A motion to approve this project was made by Judith Bruce and seconded by Harry Herrick.
VOTE: Unanimous.
Cutler (Quirk) 2004 ,68 Barley Neck Road Last heard July 24, 2007. COC request for a one-story addition, a second floor addition, a new roof, a new deck , a patio and expansion of the driveway. The one-story addition and the second floor addition were not built. The Order was held for an area of invasive species to be removed and replanted with native species near the new deck. The area has been planted and the shrubs are doing well.
MOTION: A motion to approve this project was made by Judith Bruce and seconded by Bob Royce.

Administrative Reviews
Howard Hayes,33 Granny’s Lane Last heard 5/4/2010 ,5/11/2010.Request to remove 9 trees: 4 of the trees are dead pitch pines, 4 are live pitch pines, 1 is a declining fir and to prune 2 large oaks within 100’ to Uncle Israel’s Pond. This property has large mature trees but few understory shrubs or young trees. They are willing to plant 8 blueberry bushes. Judith Bruce requested that the AR contain a note that the understory is not to be mowed or cut within 50’ of the pond.

Robert Summersgill, 26 Jack Knife Point Request to remove 1 dead red cedar and 1 dying red cedar on a coastal bank.

Ed and Lisa Guariglia, 9 Herring Brook Road Request to remove a 25’ x 20’ section of the drive and replace it with lawn and to remove 3 small junipers and recontour the slope to the old drive area. Work is greater than 50 feet from the top of a coastal bank. Work by North Chatham Landscape.

Brinker Estate,130 Pochet Road Request to remove 2 dead cedars on the ground and to prune the broken branches off the driveway. Work within the 100 foot buffer to a freshwater wetland. Work by Bravo Company.
