Meeting Minutes
Present: Sharon Craft, Mary Kennedy, Betsy Owen, Joseph Termine, Priscilla Funck
Absent: Diane Aldi DePaola and Don Mill
Also present: Sharon Tiezzi, Recording Clerk and Mary Lenzini from VNASC
CALL TO ORDER: Asst. Chair Sharon called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
AUDIENCE OF CITIZENS – The Nursing activities offered by the VNASC for the month of January was presented by Mary Lenzini.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - A motion to approve the minutes of the January 14, 2015 meeting was made by Mary Kennedy and seconded by Betsy Owen.
Ayes 5, Nays 0, Abstentions 0; Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF TREASURER’S REPORT – A motion to approve the treasurer’s report dated February 2016 as presented by Joseph Termine by Mary Kennedy and seconded by Betsy Owen.
Ayes 5, Nays 0, Abstentions 0; Motion carried.
CORRESPONDENCE – none
OLD BUSINESS – Appeal letter was updated. Betsy Owen made a motion to accept the updated appeal letter and seconded by Mary Kennedy.
Ayes 5, Nays 0, Abstentions 0; motion carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS – next meeting February 11, 2016
YAC made a request for $3,000 this year for their healthy meal for each participate. After discussion of the request, Jay made a motion with condition that we get a report at the end of the year of how the funds were used, to approve the request for $3,000; seconded by Betsy Owen.
Ayes 5, Nays 0, Abstentions 0; motion carried unanimously.
FLANAGAN FUND – no report
NIGHTINGALE FUND – updated letter from Sharon Craft was reviewed and suggested editing was done. The updated Scholarship material passed around and discussed. Clerk Sharon Tiezzi will get the info emailed and sent to the schools and newspapers by Monday.
MORRIS FUND – YAC request will come from this fund.
There was a suggestion that the Board revisit the use of this fund to be discussed at a later meeting.
ADJOURNMENT- A motion was made by Mary Kennedy to adjourn the meeting @8:00 p.m., seconded by Betsy Owen.
