Meeting Minutes
Present: Diane Aldi DePaola, Mary Kennedy, Sharon Craft, Joseph Termine, Janet Temple, Betsey Owen and Don Mill.
Also present: Sharon Tiezzi, Recording Clerk
CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Diane Aldi DePaola called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
AUDIENCE OF CITIZENS – The Nursing activities offered by the VNASC for the month of May 2015 are attached.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - A motion to approve the minutes of the May 8, 2015 meeting as corrected was made by Mary Kennedy and seconded by Sharon Craft.
Ayes 7, Nays 0, Abstentions 0; Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF TREASURER’S REPORT – A motion was made by Mary Kennedy and seconded by Betsey Owen to accept the treasurer’s report as presented.
Ayes 7, Nays 0, Abstentions 0; Motion carried.
CORRESPONDENCE – Letter and check in the amount of $500.00 from the Old Saybrook Lions Club. A note from Karen Van der Horst asking for $500.00 for summer workshop. When she went to register, it was full and couldn’t get in.

FLANAGAN FUND – no report
NIGHTINGALE FUND – After review of two of the transcripts received by the board, a motion was made by Don Mill and seconded by Betsey Owen to approve two (2) scholarship payments; one for Nicole Valenti and one for Keanna Chang.
Ayes 7, Nays 0, Abstentions 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Janet Temple and seconded by Jay Termine to approve the third scholarship recipient, pending the receipt and satisfaction notification of Michaela‘s transcripts.
Ayes 7, Nays 0, Abstentions 0; motion carried.
MORRIS FUND – no report
ADJOURNMENT- A motion was made by Mary Kennedy to adjourn the meeting @ 7:45 p.m., seconded by Don Mill.
