OLD LYME ZONING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
TUESDAY, JUNE 11TH, 2018, 7:30 P.M.
Middle School Auditorium
  • Lyme Street, Old Lyme, CT
Present: Jane Cable, Jane Marsh, Gil Soucie, Alan Todd, Paul Orzel, and Alternates Harvey Gemme and Stacy Winchell.
Also present were Keith Rosenfeld, Land Use Coordinator.
PUBLIC HEARING
Connecticut General Statutes 8-30g – Affordable Housing Application for 18-1 Neck Road
(Formerly 16 Neck Road) for 23 dwelling units.  Graybill Properties, LLC, property owner.  Neck Road HOPE Housing, LLC, applicant.   To be known as River Oak Commons I.

Connecticut General Statutes 8-30g – Affordable Housing Application for 18-2 Neck Road (formerly 16 Neck Road) for 14 dwelling units.  Graybill Properties, LLC, property owner.  Old Lyme Hope Housing, LLC, applicant.  To be known as River Oak Commons II.

The Public Hearing was called to order.  Approximately 300 members of the public were in attendance.   Members of the public asked questions and made comments.  A short presentation was also made by Traffic Engineer Dave Sullivan of Milone and MacBroom, traffic consultants for the Town of Old Lyme.  The commission agreed to a request of the applicant to extend the closure of the Public Hearing until Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School Auditorium.  

A motion was made by Jane Marsh, seconded by Paul Orzel to continue the Public Hearing until Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School Auditorium for the Affordable Housing Application  for 18-1 Neck Road  - Neck Road Hope Housing, LLC, (formerly 16 Neck Road) for 23 dwelling units to be known as River Oak Commons I and  18-2 Neck Road Old Lyme Hope Housing, LLC  (formerly  16 Neck Road) for 14 dwelling units to be known as River Oak Commons II.  No discussion and no votes were taken.  The motion passed unanimously.

ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Gil Soucie, seconded by Paul Orzel to adjourn the June 11, 2018 meeting at 9:11 p.m.  No discussion and no votes were taken.   The motion passed unanimously.   

The next meeting of the Zoning Commission will be Tuesday, July 9th at 7:30 p.m. at the Old Lyme Town Hall, 52 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, CT 06371
