Minutes of the December 6, 2007 Town Woods Park Operating Committee meeting.
Present: Don Bugbee, Bob Dunn, Glynn McAraw, Phil Neaton, Jason Thornton
The meeting was called to order at 8:30 pm.
The minutes from the previous meeting held on August 1, 2007 were reviewed. Glynn McAraw made a motion, seconded by Phil Neaton, to accept the minutes as written. The motion passed unanimously.
Bob Dunn initiated discussions about the vandalism damage that had occurred with the gazebo. He indicated that he contacted Jay Vitali for an estimate of the work required to fix it. Jason Thornton made a motion, seconded by Glynn McAraw, to hire Jay Vitali to do the repair work and that this repair work shall not exceed $300.00. The motion passed unanimously.
Bob Dunn initiated discussions about the purchasing of plaques that are proposed to be placed in the Building at Town Woods Park. The plaques will list all the Building Committee Members, Selectmen, Engineers and Contractors etc who were involved with the planning and establishment of Town Woods Park. Bob indicated that he had recently taken over this task from previously assigned Building Committee Members and that he had met with Matt Conroy, of Gull Associates, to review the process of developing and purchasing these plaques. A problem with transferring the Plaque information from the drawings to the plaques was identified and described. This would adversely affect the previously voted on cost estimate of $750.00. Bob Dunn indicated that Charlie Delinks, of Caliber Computing, was going to work to resolve the problem.
Bob Dunn also added that these plaques were being provided at cost. Phil Neaton made a motion, seconded by Glynn McAraw, to continue to develop and purchase these plaques, at a cost not to exceed $1250.00. The motion passed unanimously.
Glynn McAraw made a motion, seconded by Phil Neaton, to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at 8:35 pm.
