BOARD OF SELECTMEN
AGENDA WITH RECORD OF VOTES


The Board of Selectmen held a Regular Meeting at 7:30 pm on May 6, 2019 in the Meeting Hall of the Old Lyme Memorial Town Hall. First Selectman Bonnie Reemsnyder, Selectwoman Mary Jo Nosal and Selectman Chris Kerr were present.

  • Approval of Minutes:
15 April 2019 -Regular Meeting Minutes
A motion was made by Selectwoman Nosal, seconded by Selectman Kerr, to approve the April 15, 2019 Regular meeting minutes. Motion passed.

  • Communication:  None
  • Appointments:
Alex Klose (U) – Planning Commission, alternate – 1 yr. term exp. Jan. 2020
A motion was made by Selectwoman Nosal, seconded by First Selectmen Reemsnyder, to appoint Alex Klose to the Planning Commission as an alternate. Motion passed. Selectmen Kerr, opposed.
        
Katherine Klose (D) – Zoning Commission, alt.  – 1 yr. term exp. Jan. 2020
A motion was made by Selectwoman Nosal, seconded by Selectman Kerr, to appoint Katherine Klose to the Zoning Commission as an alternate. Motion passed.

  • Additional Appropriations for FY 2019
A motion was made by Selectwoman Nosal, seconded by Selectman Kerr, to move to a Town meeting, pending approval by the BOF for an additional $73,000 appropriation for the increase in Health Insurance costs.  Motion passed.

A motion was made by Selectman Kerr, seconded by Selectwoman Nosal, to move to a Town meeting, pending approval by the BOF for an additional $16,000 appropriation for the Grassy Hill Bridge Emergency repairs.  Motion passed.

A motion was made by Selectwoman Nosal, seconded by Selectman Kerr, to move to a Town meeting, pending approval by the BOF for an additional $26,000 appropriation for the increase in Solid Waste Tipping Fees for MIRA.  Motion passed.

A motion was made by Selectman Kerr, seconded by Selectwoman Nosal, to approve the CALL for the Annual Town Budget Meeting on May 20th.  Motion passed.
