MINUTES
OLD LYME INLAND WETLANDS AND WATERCOURSES COMMISSION
SPECIAL MEETING/SITE WALK
PRESENT WERE: Evan Griswold and Ed Adanti, Director of Public Works.
1. Call to Order
2. 5:30 P.M. – Town of Old Lyme – Grind and Repave Library Lane, Elm Street and
Dunns Lane.
Evan Griswold met with the Director of the Public Works Department on Library
Lane where the Duck River passes underneath through a culvert. We looked at
the scope of the work to be undertaken which involved grinding down the
pavement to the subsurface base, repaving the road and placing rip-rap on the
bank on the south side of Library Lane where the drainage pipe enters the Duck
River. The junction of Elm Street and Library Lane will also be resurfaced and
the runoff redirected so as not to puddle as it does now. Erosion barriers will be
erected along Library Lane and Elm Street. The width of the roadway will
remain as it is now.
Respectfully submitted,
Evan Griswold
