INLAND WETLANDS AND WATERCOURSES COMMISSION

15-3 – BRENT & MICHELE HARRINGTON – 4 SHORT HILLS ROAD – PROPOSAL TO THIN TREES IN THE INTERIOR PROPERTY THROUGH A NON-INVASIVE METHOD.
Four (4) neighbors also joined the site walk after approval by Brent Harrington. The Commission members met with Brent Harrington who pointed out the area to the east side of property where the applicant wants to expand the lawn for the purpose of adding a larger area for an existing dog training business. Mr. Harrington identified certain trees and some shrubs he was planning to remove in this area.
Mr. Harrington directed the group to the back portion of the property and identified a potential vernal pool. He also pointed out potential trees to be removed in this back area as well as trees that continued along a stone wall to the west of the property line.
The IWWC members present requested Mr. Harrington contract with a soil scientist for the purpose of marking the wetlands on his property prior to voting on the application. Members felt they needed this done to completely understand where the trees to be removed were located in relation to wetlands on the property. Mr. Harrington indicated he would hire the soil scientist.
